Athletic Trainer Interview
During my Care/Prevention Principles of Athletic Training course, I was assigned to interview an athletic trainer. The goal of this assignment was to learn about athletic training as well as see the reality of an athletic trainer’s job. For my interview, I chose to interview the athletic trainer of Milton High School, Tera. During the interview I asked questions and learned about Tera’s journey as an athletic trainer along with some challenges and accomplishments she has come across. Through these questions I learned about the importance of athletic trainers in the healthcare field and now see how vital they are in the role of recovery for athletes. As an aspiring physical therapist, athletic trainers are the first people to see our patients with an injury, understanding what they do can help improve and progress the care and recovery of a patient under my care. The button below will take you to the interview with her answers and my reflections of this interview.,
